We focus on casting a wide net to be inclusive in our search for participants for all CodeCampSDQ run or sponsored events. We want to have panels that encourage diversity in the speaker and attending body.
We will never sponsor or organize conferences or panels with a homogeneous group of speakers. We will strongly encourage our employees not to attend or speak at such events. We’ll support them in raising diversity concerns with events directly.
We will continue to make our event a trusting place to have complex, and sometimes difficult, conversations about diversity and inclusion: We will create and maintain environments, platforms, and forums where our people feel comfortable reaching out to their colleagues to gain greater awareness of each other’s experiences and perspectives.
